I was moping a bit this morning and my Facebook status reflected my discontent. A friend made it all better by posting a challenge to my self deprecation. I thanked her by text message. Then I thought: "I have other friends I should thank". So I composed a special text message to each of them, thanking them and what made them special to me. By the time I sent all my messages, I was weeping from joy. Then I drove to my family's holiday dinner and hugged my Mom, sisters, nieces, my new one month old nephew and my brothers in law.
I didn't have to thank any of them.
